So another Tuesday blog on my Thursdays blog.  It took me awhile  to figure out how to add another post.  If I keep up with it, I shouldn't have any issues remembering  how to do it!   Saturday I had the pleasure of attending my niece's bridal shower.  It was beautiful day and and a beautiful event! Enjoyed taking photos, eating great food, drinking amazing sangria and relaxing with the women of my family!

What  is it about Tuesday postings to my Thursdays?

Holy Moly! Haven't  touched this for well over a year.......So much has happened ...to my KIDS...my life remains boring er stable. Mike went off to Argentina to climb in patagonia.  Colleen moved to Randolph VT, a teeny town that has everything you would ever want in a town, especially my daughter.  Brian is married and living in Burlington VT.My most recent photos are of my bolted kale. The flowers are pretty and my life is, well, er, not bolted but  consistent.

February 10, 2015

Tuesday again!  February 10.  One day before my first born's 31st birthday!!!  I miss him so much.

So what's been going on for a few Thursdays?  Not much.  I worked one Thursday to cover for my boss who was sick.  I did meet a long-ago friend, Diane Lassonde, for lunch at the Rustic Kitchen for lunch.  My favorite kind of Thursday!

So in the past couple of weeks we have had snow, snow, and MORE snow!! With MORE on the way!

I have been using this stuck-in-the-house time to challenge myself with different cooking projects.
I have made two loaves of french bread, a wild mushroom and chicken dish from the Barefoot Contessa, sage biscuits from Whole Foods and today Guinness Steak pies from the Chelsea Food Market cookbook that Colleen gave me for Christmas.  I used too much horseradish but we shall see when it is really totally done.  Not for another hour or two.  I started it at 8am and it should be all done by 6:30.

I shoveled some today....my aching back.  Texted Mike about the snow, silly guy wishes he had all this snow!  He did text that if he were here he would shovel for hot cocoa.  :)  I made lots of hot cocoa when the kids were little.  It makes me happy to remember!

Here are some photos of my poor Japanese Holly Bushes, overburdened with TOO MUCH SNOW!  I hope they rebound this spring!

My Thursday wanderings yesterday took me down to Brewster, to The Cook Shop, to purchase three skimmers for the weekend.  This weekend some of us book club girls will be going to Maine for an overnight book club meeting and a Sunday morning brunch/my favorite things party.  All hosted by Claire Dunleavey.

I have to say I had a blast in The Cook Shop, picking up a "pie bird" as a hostess gift for Claire, a bottle of black raspberry flavoring that turns vanilla ice cream into black raspberry ice cream......yummmmm...my favorite! Then met with Judy who came over from Chatham.  I had a cup of hot green tea and an apple croissant.  Yum again!  The tea was especially nice since it was a rainy, raw and windy day.

Then on to a BOSOWEN meeting.  New faces! A so-so turnout (15 or 16), a hypnotist crashed our meeting - yes, yes, indeed! Six women opted to have me do head shots for their linkedin profiles.  That was fun.  Here are a couple of photos of two  of our members.  Aren't they beautiful?

I then "networked" with my good friend and co-founder of BOSOWEN, Deb.  Yummy wine, yummy free bread at the "Roo".  All in all I have to say I had a fun and yummy day!

Why Tuesday to start my ThursdayWanderings blog?  Well I decided to set it up before I start my wanderings.  I had a blog several years ago.  It disappeared from lack of use - I think.  It was a photography blog as I fancied myself to become a professional photographer.  But then I got the call....for a full time job making a decent salary.  Of course that trumped being a very beginner photographer with no means of support.  But all things must change as did my full time job.  A year and half later,  I became full time unemployed and then a few months later, a full time daughter, then later a part time employee in two part time jobs.

I have Thursdays off from my now two jobs, soon to be only one.  So I want to take advantage of this weekly gift.  It might be just my thoughts wandering or my photo taking wanderings or even just making those appointments that work best during the week wanderings. And I will post my Thursday outcomes - if I feel like it.

This is my blog.  It is not public (I think - because that's what I want but I'm not sure I set it up right). I am trying to start this blog on my own without guidance from my younger friends.  So here goes!

Next step?  How to upload photos?

Ha!  I did it!! Yay.
